Spud Webb (Anthony Jerome Webb) Basketball Player

Anthony Jerome Webb (born in Dallas, Texas, United States, July 13, 1963, age 48 years, known as Spud Webb) is a former NBA player with point guard position and height 169 cm. He played for the Midland Junior College in Midland, Texas, and together they won the national junior college championship in 1982. After that he was given a scholarship to North Carolina State University, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.7 assists per game.

He then played professionally for the Atlanta Hawks, and then moved to the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic before retiring in 1998. In 12 seasons he averaged 9.9 points. Webb lives in Dallas, where he became a TV commentator for the Dallas Mavericks. Webb is the third shortest person ever to play in the NBA, but Earl Boykins (5 feet 5 inches) and Muggsy Bogues. (5 feet 3 inches).

Slam Dunk Contest

Webb is the shortest man ever to play in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He won in 1986 with the elevator two-handed double pump dunk, one-handed off the backboard one-handed clock, 360-degree helicopter one-handed dunk, 180-degree reverse double-pump slam, and 180-degree reverse two-handed strawberry hours. 20 years later, he also helped the New York Knicks point guard Nate Robinson (5 feet 9 inches) to win this contest.
